Arts District Chorale Announces 2010-2011 Season Final Performances Kids Activities Blog

arts district logo 500x229The 2010-2011 Arts Commune Chorale Season, Across Hither Prevarication Dragons: Maps and Territories, concludes with two performances of Broken Boundaries and Aboriginal Lands: An American Quilt, revealing aspects of the cataclysmic encounters of aboriginal and modern cultures in the Americas. Incorporating storytelling and a profound sense of place, the final subscription events of the Arts Commune Chorale's 2010-11 Season once again promise Extraordinary Music in Unexpected Ways.

The first of these performances takes place on Dominicus, May xv at ii:thirty PM at Perkins Chapel, located on the campus of Southern Methodist Academy. Perkins Chapel is a brick and rock version of a type of church built in New England in the 18th and 19th centuries, reflecting a Georgian style developed by Sir Christopher Wren. The final performance takes place on Dominicus, May 22 at 3:00 PM at the historic octagonal Chautauqua Auditorium in Waxahachie. The May 22 performance is sponsored by the Waxahachie Symphony Association.

The Chorale'southward work is congenital upon a shared experience of continuous learning and a delivery to excellence, promoting arts experiences that transform the gathered community, singer and audience member alike. The Arts District Chorale is a member of Chorus America, the national service organization for choral music.

Each Arts District Chorale upshot draws on multiple arts disciplines in addition to great choral music and invites attendees to go participants in the experience equally it unfolds.
